• Indications

1. Detection and localization of acute or chronic osteomyelitis.

2. Detection and localization of acute abscesses. (Ex. liver, renal, intra-abdominal sepsis).

3. Evaluation for prosthesis rejection.

4. Detection and localization of infection (especially in fever of unknown origin).

• Instructions:

1. Explain the procedure (especially blood drawn, reinjection, then delay of pictures).

2. Document name, date, and time for procedure to begin.
