Thyroid Scan

• Indications:

1. Evaluation anatomy and function of the thyroid gland.
2. Evaluation hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.
3. Detect cyst, nodule, and mass in the thyroid gland.

• Patient Preparation:

1. Discontinued thyroid medicine for 2 weeks prior study.

2. Two weeks prior the study do not incurred any test using iodine radiographic contrast.

3. Bring all thyroid studies. Ex. ultrasound, ctscan, and laboratories test.
