Myocardial Perfusion Scan:

• Indications

1. Detection and evaluation of coronary artery disease.

2. Evaluation of those patient who may be candidates for coronary bypass surgery or angioplasty

3. Evaluation of physical indicators: myocardial infarction, chest pain, shortness of breath, history or family of heart disease.

• Patient Preparation:

1. Take a slightly breakfast.

2. Do not drink nothing that contains caffeine.

3. Do not take medication of the heart and high blood pressure. Bring them to the laboratory.

4. Use a shirt with buttons in front.

5. Use shoes that are not slippery, for example snickers.
