Myocardial Pyrophosphate Scan (PYP)

• Indications:

1. Evaluation of myocardial infarction (MI) 24 hours after acute event.

2. Evaluation of patients having chest pain at least 48 hours before. The imaging window considered by some is from 24 to 72 hours.
